Eruption Achievement Glitch

It turns out that, for the "Eruption" achievement, you don't actually have to win 5 games in a row one after another. Winning 5 times in the same sitting is enough to award this achievement, no matter how many times you lose in between. Additionally, the counter is never always 5/5, and seems to revert every time you dont win more than 5 times in the same sitting.

Username Swap Glitch

A very rare glitch - I've only ever encountered this once, when trying to buddy multiple people at once. in the wolves only party.

Here, my username shows as "srupsboi", with the adventure level remaining the color of my old username tag, and the label the default gold color. My animal has the same colors as Srupboi's wolf.

Sometimes, after moving around, the adventure level part also switches to the default color. Here, you can see my actual username, "Epicfeatheredarmor", in the bottom left corner.

In the inventory menu, it even displays "srupsboi" at the top, but with my original username color and badge.

"Srupsboi" was also in the wolve's only party, as a nonmember.

If you have updated your animal through the inventory and reload, you will have the other jammer's colors, which means this is some kind of cross-account color transfer glitch.

#6341 wants to be your buddy!

Sometimes the username shows as "#6341" when you recieve a buddy request from another jammer, for a brief moment, before showing their true username.

Underwater Animal on Land + Land Animal Underwater

If you've ever wondered how to be an ocean animal on land, here's how.🐬

Step 1: Desync

Step 2: Go to the room where you want to appear. You may also bring an alt account here as this makes navigation easier.

Step 3: Go to an underwater room. Move around until you appear on the screen of your alternate account.

Important - If you spawn in somewhere that isn't on the screen of your alternate account (or any other account previously in the room), you will appear as an invisible nametag. One way to combat this is to choose an ocean room with a spawn location within close vicinity to where players are in the land room. EXAMPLE:

If your ocean animal spawns outside the vicinity box, players who are already in the centre of Jamaa will not see your ocean animal once you move into the vicinity box.

However, if you are desynced and go to bahari bay, the spawn box is within the vicinity box when overlapped with Jamaa township (since desyncing causes your location data to overlap between rooms).

This makes Bahari Bay the ideal ocean room to become an ocean animal in jamaa, as people who are already in Jamaa will see your ocean animal too.

Any accounts that come into the room afterwards will see the ocean animal, regardless of your location. 

Navigating your ocean animal.

Using the previous example of Jamaa township and Bahari Bay, when you become an ocean animal on land, your location data is merged with both rooms. Wherever you move in bahari bay is mapped to the corresponding location in jamaa township. You can also use an alternate account to work out where your ocean animal is moving too.

Rooms are always mapped with respect to the top left corner of each room. 

#6341 wants to trade you

Sometimes when you get traded, the username tag of the person trading you is replaced with "#6351". Also, in the upper text, the username is replaced with "%s", and the value for the number of items is replaced with "<b>%s</b>". This glitch either happens briefly during a normal trade, or when your screen freezes from a crash trade due to many animated den items. I wonder what all the coding language means. 🤔

Animated Den Item Crashing

Some den items have complicated animations which can take up lots of memory while playing Animal Jam. Some notorious den items include the shoal of minnows and the smack of jellyfish.

If heavy-memory den items appear all at once in any inventory, they have the potential to crash your game. During a crash, your screen freezes, and to other players, you are not online.

Opening an input inventory includes putting den items for trade, gifting den items and putting den items for sale. Trying to recycle multiple of these animated items also results in a potential crash.

Luckily, input inventories and the recycling inventory sort by oldest den item first by default, so its possible to get rid of these laggy items by scrolling down so that only 3 appear at once at the bottom of the inventory. However, if you don't have many den items to begin with, you may struggle to get these animated den items off your account. 😧

If you somehow manage to place a lot of animated items in your den, anyone who enters your den, including yourself, will likely crash. If you are traded multiple animated items, you are also likely to crash. Interestingly, windows users are more succeptible to crashing via a trade than macOS users. Unfortunately, "minnowing" has become a new tactic for trolls, whereby the victim is traded multiple minnows so that they are crashed out of Animal Jam. As you can probably imagine, causing other jammers to crash is highly annoying! 😤

If you recieve a crash trade, neither the animated den items nor the item being traded for will load, and only the tags will appear (e.g. member tags and rare tags). The buttons to accept and decline will also not load in. Since the game is frozen, you have to log off and log back into Animal Jam.

Intriguingly, looking at animated den items on a trade list doesn't seem to crash you, and neither does looking at animated den items which are for sale in a shop.

#6228 Gem Count + Glitched Shops

If you log into animal jam with an invalid time stamp which is far from the correct date, certain shops that you open become glitched and "#6228" replaces your gem count. Glitched shops do not sell any items and they may have the incorrect display.

Logging into animal jam with an invalid timestamp requires you to trick Animal Jam into thinking you logged in with a date which is far in the past or far in the future.

#8719 Button

Upon adding a new item to your journeybook, the "add to" button displays "#8719" for a brief moment.

#9242 in Mira Says

Upon finishing the 32-color long sequence in Mira Says, "#9242" appears from the final trophy slot. Who knows what it's supposed to say? 🤔

Tiki Trouble Collectables Duplication

This glitch happens when you are already holding one of the three collectables (the jewel, the coin and the fish) and try to get more. The collectable you are holding is the only type of collectable you can duplicate however, so you can't get guaranteed jewels while holding a coin

 

1. Jewel

Once you are holding the jewel, every rock that you smash is guarunteed to have a jewel, allowing you to get lots of them.

If you leave a jewel not picked up anywhere in the map, it will cause the same effect allowing you to get more jewels.

2. Coin

Similar to the jewel, when you are holding a coin, every object that appears while you are wading is guarunteed to be a coin.

3. Fish

Unlike the collectables prior to this, you can only catch 3 guaranteed fish if you are holding one. Once you are holding a fish, the first net you click on at each of the fishing spots will catch fish. If you click on more than one net at the same port however, the other nets will have normal odds.

If you bring a fish you've caught from a different port to a port with 1 fish already in a net, casting an empty net doesn't guarantee another fish catch. This prooves that you can only catch a guaranteed fish if there aren't any fish (randomly caught OR guaranteed) already on the same port.

FOV Glitch

In most adventures* which normally have a large field of view (FOV), the FOV is smaller than usual when you first play those adventures immediately after logging on. If you have played any adventure prior to this however (not including the training grounds), the FOV will not be smaller.

Step 1: Minimise the Animal Jam window once you are inside an adventure OR start the adventure with a minimised window.

Step 2: Click and drag the edges of the window to shrink its size.
Step 3: Maximise the window.

Your FOV should now be smaller than it was before.

If you repeat the steps, your FOV will stay the same size instead of getting smaller again.

Tavie the Stubborn Dolphin

When you enter the Tiki Trouble adventure, sometimes it is impossible to talk with Tavie as she does not have a speech button if you walk close to her. The icons for the tiki statues, wading spots, fishing spots and mining spots will not be on your screen, and there is no timer.

This makes it impossible to complete the adventure because you cannot give the pearls to Tavie. This is an irritating glitch if you haven't noticed it when you start the adventure.

#6848 Go Now!

 If you keep the parties tab open just as one party ends and another begins, the button to ''Go Now'' on the new party will have ''#6848" over it. This goes away if you close the parties list and open it again.

"Club Membership Has Expired" is Missing

Quite simply, the popup which shows when you have lost membership sometimes doesn't appear at all when you log on. This means you don't have to do the ordeal of trading a masterpiece to yourself to stay as a member animal.

This has the same effect as doing the member animal as a nonmember glitch before getting rid of the popup:

Fake Party Host

 A fake party host is when a jammer appears to be hosting a party, although they actually aren't. Glitches can be done to make a party host appear on your nametag on your screen only, or on other jammers' screens only. This can be done to make a nonmember name tag appear with a party host, which is impossible otherwise, as nonmembers can't host parties.

Method 1: Changing the Calendar

This method makes the fake party host show on your screen only.

Step 1: Change your calendar to an earlier date whilst you are playing animal jam, and wait a few seconds.

Step 2: A party host should have appeared beneath your own nametag, but this doesnt happen 100% of the time. If it hasn't, change the calendar back again. Sometimes a fake party host appears on the username of another jammer.

Effects

When you have a fake party host showing on your own screen, you will have the option to "Go to your party" on the parties menu. When you press the button, nothing happens.

Peck's Circle of Doom

Peck's circle becomes stuck on your screen sometimes when you want to get rid of her, but she says no... 😑 The worst part is switching rooms doesn't make it go away!

Speech outside an adventure

Step 1: go to an adventure which has speech at the beginning.
Step 2: time it so that you leave the adventure just as the speech bubble is about to appear.

If you get the timing right, the speech will appear outside the adventure.

This may also happen as a result of being adventure-locked.

Adventure Menu Glitch

Your adventure menu may appear glitched out when you enter an adventure, and functions like the map and player list don't work. None of the buttons work either. Everything goes back to normal when you exit the adventure.
