Neon colored animals glitch

This glitch can either make your animal glow brown, green, blue or red infinitely. This is NOT the hack. This glitch does not work with the invisibility effect at the haunted forest party.

Step 1: Get fully muddy in Appondale. You can also get the brown effect in the horse's only party and in the Jamaaliday House den.

If you want to just glow brown, skip Step 2.

Step 2: Go to a place with a color effect and go into it.

Places to get the red effect includes the wolves only party and  in Greely's hideout den.

Places to get  the green effect includes the epic haunted manor, the spooky party and in Greely's haunted hideout den.

Places to get the ice effect includes the penguin's only party, the new years party and the snow fort den.

Step 3: Exit the effect and switch animals.

Step 4: Your animal should now be glowing a color infinitely on other people's screen, but sadly you wont see it on your screen.

If you go into an invisibility effect before changing animals, you will become transparent, although the color will begin to fade. The color will not fade if you have switched animals though, although you won't be able to see it on your screen.

2026 April Fools Colors.

On March 31st of 2026, Animal Jam added more "special effect" sources around the map, as part of the April Fools Update. There were 6 new effect colors added.

Cyan

Green

Purple

Pink

Orange

Blue

Cyan was found in Jamaa Township, Mt Shiveer, Appondale, and Lost Temple of Zios.

Green was found in Kimbara Outback, Balloosh, Crystal Sands, Sarepia Forest, and Coral Canyons.

Purple was found in Coral Canyons, Mt Shiveer, Jamaa Township, Balloosh, and Kimbara Outback.

Pink was found in Balloosh, Crystal Sands, Jamaa Township, Mt Shiveer, Sarepia Forest, Lost Temple of Zios, and Coral Canyons.

Orange was found in Balloosh and Canyons Pathway.

Blue was found in Crystal Sands and Sarepia Forest.
